Integrační seskupení na asijském kontinentě a jejich vztahy s EU

Abstract

Asia has become a key region not only for the European Union, but for the whole world because it's developing dynamically, has great economic potential and many inhabitants live there. Cooperation between EU and Asian continent isn't focused only on trade and investment, but it engages in developing aid that is trying to reduce poverty. Cooperation is aimed at support of democracy, human rights, peace and safety. The main instruments for cooperation are Asia - Europe meetings that takes the form of an open dialogue. The aim of this thesis is an analysis based on theoretical knowledges. The analysis deals with individual integration groupings in Asian region, characteristic of the development of relations with the European Union, specification of individual strategic documents and financial instruments for the period until 2006 and then for the current period 2007 - 2013. Another point of the analysis is developing assistance that is offered to Asian countries by the EU. And the last point is quantification of the relationship through trade. The thesis analyses data that is relating to developing support and trade between Asia and the European Union and gives a compact overview of the development of reciprocal relations, strategic documents and financial instruments.
