Abstract

This dissertation is to describe development of software intended for defect analysis in nonmagnetic metal materials by using nondestructive testing methods – specifically the Eddy Current Method. This software is going to be specifically used for tubing defectoscopy in thermal and nuclear power plants. This work is done based on Tediko, s.r.o., Chomutov company request, who is major player in this business within Czech Republic. The main goal of this project is to replace currently used SW product which is considered old fashioned with insufficient capability for current IT technology level. Original software is running under DOS operating system and it uses obsolete SW and HW resources with no support available. One of the key requirements was to utilize standard measurement configurations that Tediko, s.r.o., owns and currently uses on regular basis. This new SW solution will also allow future functional enhancements by addition various HW and SW modules.
