Abstract
This thesis focuses on the biosynthesis of gold and silver nanoparticles using 3D printed microfluidic chips. The theoretical part deals with problematic of biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles, characterizes the properties of gold and silver nanoparticles, describes microfluidics, microfluidic devices and parameters affecting the flow processes. The experimental part was focused on pilot experiments of biosynthesis of gold and silver nanoparticles on 3D printed microfluidic reactors. Several types of chips with different meanders were selected, biosynthesis was performed using droplet method and the continuous flow method. The resulting gold and silver nanoparticles were characterized by scanning transmission electron microscopy. Finally, all results were summarized and positive effect of flow process on monodispersity, size and shape of gold and silver nanoparticles was demonstrated.
