Abstract

The aim of the batchelor thesis is evaluate economic performance of the chosen company based on the financial statements and then suggest recommendation to improve their financial situation. The batchelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical parts. First part of the batchelor thesis is devoted to the theoretical concepts of financial analysis and definitions. The practical part is devoted to the application of indicators mentioned in the theoretical parts. Practical calculations concerting to absolute indicators (horizontal and vertical analysis) and ratio indicators (leverage, profitability, liquidity and activity). Then are used two models for the evaluation of overall financial situation (Altman model and model IN) and finally Spider analysis to compare the company with the industry. In last part are written suggestions and recommendations.
