Analýza managementu basketbalového klubu

Abstract

In my thesis, I focused on the analysis of management of the basketball club of BCM Ostrava. Due to the fact that I played for the club myself, for obtaining of information I chose the method of observation and semi-structured interview with the manager of the club. My thesis is divided into three parts. The first is a theoretical part, where I desribed management, reasons for the growing interest in sports, options of acquisition of funding for the sportsclub, organizational structures of sport clubs and methods of research and data collection. In the second part, first I characterized the surveyed club and then I desribed issues of management in obtaining financial resources and subsequently, there are described club spendings. In the third, the last part, I analyzed the management of the club by the SWOT analysis and suggested possible improvements of the club’s activities.
