Abstract

The thesis is focused on the role of the International Monetary Fund in the International Monetary System, because nowadays this topic is very current, due to the current economic crisis. As main materials for this thesis was used official sources of the International Monetary Fund. The aim of this work is to evaluate the role of the International Monetary Fund in the International Monetary System, which was done based on a quantitative evaluation of its activities. Specifically, it was conducted an evaluation of its financial assistance, assistance to developing countries and its technical activities and monitoring.
