Návrh světelné signalizace na křižovatce Rudná - Frýdecká v Ostravě s využitím dopravního modelování

Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the design of a light-signalling device for a pair of level crossings, which are part of the Rudná – Frýdecká interchange in Ostrava. In the first part, an analysis of traffic accidents and conflict situations is carried out. The work includes a transport survey to determine peak traffic intensity and traffic intensity prediction for the year 2044 prospective. The status quo is assessed in terms of capacity for existing and prospective intensities. Junctions modification is proposed by means of a light-signalling device, in multiple variants that are assessed in terms of capacity and, based on their comparison, the most suitable option is selected for each junction. Micro-simulation models are created in PTV's VISSIM program for the status quo and newly designed variants. The thesis also includes drawing documentation. The aim is to design a solution that will lead to increased fluency and safety of the traffic.
