Dopad rozvoje čištění odpadních vod do ekologie moravsko-slezského regionu

Abstract

Waste water treatment has not been historically considered as an important issue on the most of the cases by the authorities. On the previous decades in our part of the world we have assist to a huge develop of the industry, not taking notice about the effects on the environment. From the nineties we started to suffer the consequences, and we had no other option to start the needed actions in order repair the produced damages and to keep going with our develop minimalizing those effects. This work tries to explain the evolution on the Moravian-Silesian Region, trying to make a real feeling on the community about the need of keep going on the started road. The efficient implementation of policies to prevent the degradation and depletion of water resources requires determining their value in social and economic terms and incorporating this information into the decision-making process. A process of waste water treatment has many associated environmental benefits. However, these benefits are often not calculated because they are not set by the market. Nevertheless,the valuation of these benefits is necessary to justify a suitable investment policy. On this work we make a quick show of a methodology based on the estimation of shadow prices for the pollutants removed in treatment process as the interesting association between psychology and environment.
