The main task of diploma thesis is to solve the issue dealing with the barrier-free use of the Hospital Bílovec, which is located on the street 17. listopadu 538 in Bílovec. The aim of the thesis is to find out the current state of the hospital area and to evaluate it according to the National Methodology of Categorization of Accessibility of Object. An analysis of the five departments of the hospital, as well as routes providing access to the hospital area from adjacent public transport stops and assessment of their suitability for use by persons with reduced mobility and orientation are performed. The thesis also deals with a proposal to solve the removal of barriers based on identified deficiencies, which will be carried out according to the relevant legal regulations and the Czech technical standards.
