Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of engineering geological investigations. The theoretical part presents a methodology for conducting these investigations based on applicable legislation, related regulations, and technical standards. Furthermore, the thesis describes a comprehensive set of processes involved in engineering geological investigations, from the initial design phase to the evaluation of results obtained from field and laboratory work. The practical part demonstrates these processes through a case study of an engineering geological investigation carried out for a warehouse building of a private company located in the municipality of Klamoš. The investigation was conducted in accordance with valid legislation, and its results serve as a basis for the foundation design of the building and related structures.
