Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on properties of solid fuels from biomass and influence assessment of these basic properties on the usage and safe storage. The first part of this thesis deals with the features of renewable energy sources. The next part describes the fossil fuels and then follows their comparison with biofuels. In the following chapter is discussing the biological autoignition, ignition and self-heating. The final part deals with experimental determination of moisture and gross heating value in context of the storage. Gross heating value will be determined calorimetric.
