Abstract

The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis was to determine the transition temperature shift using impact bending tests on samples that were subjected to cold plastic deformation and subsequent aging. Transition temperature shift of material subjected to aging was compared with a set of the samples of same quality that had not been subjected neither to the plastic deformation nor aging. Transition temperature determination method TT0,5 was used to calculate transition temperature using the average impact value. Ageing of the material S355J2+N has caused the shift of 20 °C in transition temperature. More specifically, for the material in the initial state the transition temperature of -10 °C has been detected while the transition temperature for the material after ageing was 10 °C.
