Individual Professional Practice in the Company

Abstract

This bachelor thesis describes the solution called DSR which I've developed during my individual professional practice in ABB company and how I've gone through the whole life-cycle of the solution from its creation to the pilot release. The main subject of my work was the desktop client (DSR Assistant) - WPF application, DSR WebAPI implementing Entity Framework and web client (DSR Portal) written in Angular 5. The first chapter describes the company, my position in the software department and the reasons behind DSR. Further in the thesis I write about data processing, used technologies and patterns chosen for implementation of the solution which became the first professional experiences of mine in the field of IT. In chapter 5 I describe the spontaneous project of DSR Designer and next about the issues that rose after the release. In the end I evaluate my work in the team, write about the application of agile software development and management and other important non-programming activities.
