Abstract

In the present work is theoretically descibed issues of reclamation and remediation including legislation. At the same time, the obligation of the mining company to create legal financial reserves for reclamation and remediation and the method of its creation is explained. The quarry of the Czechoslovak Army, where the reclamation and remediation will be carried out in the future, should end mining in 2024. If this is indeed the case, the last years remain when it is possible to create a sufficiently large financial reserve to cover all costs of reclamation and remediation. activities. In the case of missing funds, there is a real possibility that the reclamation work will not be completed and their creation and financing will be transferred to entities other than the mining company.
