Abstract

This thesis aims at the characteristics of municipal waste, ways of dealing with household waste, municipal waste sorting, collection of municipal waste, general condition and the situation in the statutory town of Most. It focuses on all the possibilities that the city offers a citizen for thorough storage and sorting of municipal waste. There is a detailed analysis of technology and instalation of semi underground tanks as well as and underground containers describing advantages and disadvantages of this technology and the ese of the containers in the city. The analysis introduced here describes already constructed storage sites and gives suggestions for building new suitable sites in the city. In conclusion, there is a questionnaire, which focuses on the satisfaction of citizens with the current state of municipal waste sorting options, satisfaction with the technology and semi underground containers in the city.
