Abstract
The subject of the diploma thesis is a State-of-the-art Technologies of Water Well Drilling and Their Application in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part consists in defining the sources of drinking water and their establishment, which are water reservoirs, dams and drilled water wells. The emphasis here is on water consumption, which is constantly increasing. In the practical part I describe the existing procedures, the drilling technology used, some mistakes in drilling water wells and finally a proposal for solutions to eliminate these shortcomings. The main issues are the relatively slow drilling, small diameters, depths and the way the wells are drilled. The main topic is modern drilling technique and technology that allows Casing while Drilling. The thesis describes the methods of Sonic drilling, Reverse circulation drilling and Casing while Drilling, which can be used for drilling water wells achieving better parameters.
