Abstract

This thesis is focused on validation of a specified method and determination of measurement stability of a clay sediment sample MPZ 307 by using the X-ray spectrometry. In two main chapters the theoretical part includes the issue of statistical data processing and it subsequently clarifies the issue of analytical methods validation, an estimate of measurement uncertainty and the basic principle of X-ray spectrometry. From the practical point of view in the fourth chapter the thesis presents the definition of precision of the given method (repeatability), the limits of detection and quantification and determination of the given method trueness. In the fifth chapter the control charts are processed to define the measurement stability. The uncertainties of measurement for each analyte are also estimated there. In the end of the thesis there is a summary of the achieved results and the outcome of the whole thesis is the validation protocol with the control charts.
