Abstract
The aim of dissertation thesis Ergonomics as a solution to the combined effect of risk factors is to bring ergonomic risk factors exposure on the body. As part of this clarification the thesis intends to demonstrate and emphasize that the risk factor does not rule alone and that causes adverse health effects of several complications of ergonomic risk factors simultaneously. The dissertation thesis emphasizes not just the need of knowledge of identifying individual ergonomic factors, but also protection against synergistic effect. The main aim is the design of check-lists for self-assessment of the user's workplace elements.
To achieve the aim, in the first part of the dissertations outlined ergonomics across the breadth of its meaning. Consequently the concept is deliberately narrowed to mechanical and sensory ergonomic risk factors and their adverse health symptoms of the musculoskeletal system and vision. This narrowing is adequate to the current trend, which reduces the physical work and the variability of nature movement of people, from childhood to old age, when working age of people is extended, and their work increasingly includes elements of sedentary work with a static physical exertion maintain working postures in one position, to the congestion of the upper extremities sided physical strain and visual stress. This trend is reinforced by the development home-working where the principle of correct ergonomic arrangement of the workplace significantly lies on the shoulders of individual workers. But the workers don’t understand them and significant degree rely on advertising statements manufacturers and dealers.
In the second part of dissertation thesis are described the results of own ergonomic assessment. This assessment was conducted on a sample of more than 100 administrative staff, focusing on their ability to detect adverse ergonomic factors in their workplaces, zoom existence warning of health problems in their work in order to confirm assumption needs to build a base for knowledge and skill potential workers to recognize ergonomic factors and knowledge of the measures as the establishment of these health complications eliminate.
The pursuit of an approach to holistic ergonomics is a necessary part of the perception of synergies ergonomic factors.
In the third part of the dissertation are designed checklists for assessing workplaces individual workers. Ergonomic investigation which was made is necessary and required feedback for their construction, although its construction is not only a reflection of that assessment, but the result of long-term interest of the author in this issue, the result of many personal activities during work safety management at former employers, the implementation of ergonomic investigations at various enterprises or implementing staff training, seminars with safety experts and lectures to students.
Checklists could then become a help in identifying the correct ergonomic workplace solutions not only for employers but also the privacy of individual workers, households and workshops. Allow natural transfer of appropriate information between parents and children, facilitating the creation of participatory ergonomics in the workplace employers, which finds reflection in the betterment of workplaces, health condition and the staff friendly workplaces for all ages.
Summarizing the results is done in the fourth part of the thesis. There are conclusions about the theory as well as the practice. Here are also possible directions for further investigation and their limiting factors.
