Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with franchising as one of the options for business development. The aim of the thesis is to determine the conditions under which expansion through this form of business pays off, through the analysis of the methods used. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of basic concepts and possibilities of franchise business, specifically the definition of franchising, its legal regulation at national and international level, its economic implications, description of advantages and disadvantages of this form of business and possibilities of expansion. The practical part deals with the analysis of a selected enterprise, when a form of franchise business is applied to the enterprise as a means of expanding its business. Using the methods used, the specifics of expansion through franchising are reported and analysed in the conclusion.
