Abstract

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a mobile network scanner using software defined radio (SDR) technology. The aim of the thesis is to create a solution that allows the user to scan mobile network cells and obtain their basic parameters such as frequency band, channel width, center frequency and cell identifiers. Open-source tools and libraries have been used for this implementation. The resulting solution is complemented by a clear web-based user interface. The functionality of the proposed solution was verified by practical testing and comparison with the professional tool TEMS Pocket.
