Abstract

The theme of this diploma thesis is the optimization of the process of production of cores for the production of non-silica cores. The rationalization of production involved the optimization of the core composition in order to achieve a high surface quality of the casting of cast iron castings. The theoretical part of the thesis includes the description of quartz and quartz properties, their advantages and disadvantages. The most commonly used blades are quartz, Unfortunately they have shortcomings such as non-thermal expansion, increased reactivity in the heat and silicosis. These disadvantages compensate for the application of the non-shrinking bristles. The aim of this diploma work is to determine the composition of non- silica and mixed briquettes mixture to achieve higher surface quality of castings, evaluation of their physicochemical properties, influence on the technological properties of core mixtures, surface quality of cavities and holes, complex finishing of castings and evaluation of their application.
