Detektory cigaretového kouře pro nekuřácké prostory

Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on assessing the appropriateness of using a cigarette smoke detector and is structured into theoretical and experimental parts. The aim of the thesis was to verify the responsiveness of the cigarette smoke detector to laboratory-prepared aerosol and compare it’s detection capabilities with the detector used in the EPS system. The theoretical part deals with fire statistics in the Czech Republic, the characteristics of cigarette smoke, and optical smoke detectors. In the experimental part, a design and implementation of experimental measurements are carried out, along with data evaluation and interpretation of results. The overall contribution of the bachelor thesis lies in elucidating the defferences between the cigarette smoke detector and the OTblue detector. The intention is to verify the functionality of the monitored component, as declared by the manufacturer, which claims increased sensitivity in detecting cigarette smoke, and to identify any inconsistencies with the specifications provided.
