Abstract

The goal of this diploma work is to describe possibilities and principles of measuring of battery and accumulator discharge characteristics, to design and to construct a device for measuring and recording of discharge characteristics with a possibility to transfer and to process measured waveforms to personal computer via serial link ( cable – port ) and to perform test measuring, thereafter evaluate measuring results and describe use possibility of given device. The device uses microprocessor as input – output unit that is used to collect and evaluate data and then to graphically present them on LCD ( graphic display ). Discharged batteries and accumulators are connected with quad conductor for precise voltage measuring of discharged source and discharge current is stabilized with help of type I regulator, that is controlled directly by microprocessor. Measured voltage data are progressively displayed on display in form of creating graph with in advance defined discharge time and with steady ( constant ) discharge current.
