Abstract

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the development of operating systems by focusing on the evolvement of graphical user interface. This work includes manual providing useful information for possible users to be able to create a visually appealing text. This mostly concerns modifications done by selection of different fonts, various sizes of particular elements, colours and it also refers to common mistakes thus made. The work also discusses various ways how to properly create a simple and pleasing graphical user interface that would not be distracting and that would immediately attract possible users to use this particular application.
