Abstract

This master thesis deals with determine of humidity on radon volume activity in different soil gas permeabilities in a given land. The thesis also includes stating radon index in the given land. Theoretical part of the thesis is focused on a general description of radon problems. Experimental part are debated results on stating soil gas permeabilities in selected localities. Radon index was stated according to gas permeability. In the thesis there is an overview of radon volume activities final results within a period with added humidity in a geological profile and also radon volume activities final results within a period without added humidity in a geological profile. From radon volume activities results with added humidity can be stated that in low gas permeability after taking specimens of soil air the results of radon volume activities have been higher due to the absorbed water and radon index of the land has been changed. It follows that adverse conditions can lead to not entirely adequate results. In that case I recommend taking repeated measurements of radon volume activities in less extreme weather conditions.
