Socioekonomická a environmentální analýza obce Velká nad Veličkou

Abstract

The thesis is focused on the sustainable development issue in the municipality of Velká nad Veličkou. The aim of this thesis is to assess the sustainability from an economic, social and environmental point of view, while the methods such as the analysis, comparison, synthesis and the incomplete induction are used. The contributions of the thesis are in terms of the detection of deficiencies within the socio-economic and environmental pillars and the determination of recommendations for the village. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the analytical section. The theoretical part includes the development of the environmental policy at the international level, at the level of the European Union and the Czech Republic. At these levels the concept of sustainable development is also defined and following that its pillars and methods of measurement were explained. The theoretical part is finished with a brief characteristic of the village of Velká nad Veličkou, the description of its geographic location, history and social facilities. The analytical part is focused on the calculations of the indicators in the context of the socio-economic and environmental pillar. The last chapter of the analytical part contains the SWOT analysis of Velká nad Veličkou municipality and on the basis of the results of the indicators and the SWOT analysis the specific measures are recommended. It results from the analysis that the indicators of the ratio of the unemployed persons, the quality of drinking water, the coefficient of ecological stability and the share of homes connected to the sewage treatment plant development was positive. For the indicators of overall liquidity, and the index of the age, which is also related to the increase in the post-reproductive components, the development was negative.
