Abstract

The aim of thesis was to evaluate the financial health of Distillers The Green Tree – Starorežná Prostějov, joint-stock company, the time frame 2005 – 2007, selected using financial analysis tools and compared the results with the largest competitor in the industry, companies Plzeň Stock – Božkov Ltd.

The starting point for drawing up the master's thesis was a theoretical basis, based on scientific literature and knowledge gained from studying at university. This section explains the core concepts of this field, and via these formulas gives the outline of the thesis application.

The theoretical part of the follow-up application, which includes the characteristics of Distillers The Green Tree - Starorežná Prostějov, joint-stock company, the findings of financial analysis and the comparison with a competitor. Comparison is made on the basis of an analysis of the ratio of indicators, analysis models of bankruptcy and creditworthy models. What other company is listed in annex number 4.

For evaluation of the realized financial health, I concluded that both companies achieve very good results. Despite the company Distillers The Green Tree – Starorežná Prostějov, joint-stock company, reported worse results than competitors. For this reason, the fourth chapter deals with the recommendation, which would come closer to competitors.
