The main focus of this thesis is measuring dose rate with selected detectors and an impact of blocking ionizated radiation with various materials. Theoretical portion icludes description of ionizated radiation its diferenciation and sources. The following chapter is about safety measures for working with radiation and priciples of prevention, ways to protect from ionizated radiation and potential risks connected with operating with it. Experimental portion consists of description of used equipment, measured samples and collected data. The data collected are commented upon and put into graphs.
