Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with injuries at work and occupational diseases. The aim of this document is to define and analyze accident at work from the beginning to prevention and compensation. Complete process will be applied to concrete accident that happened at company XXX s.r.o. This diploma thesis is devided into 6 chapters. The introduction deals with work injuries of employees. Employer´s responsibilities for damages by work injuries and occupational diseases are described in next chapter. In the section of statutory liability insurance of the employerwe can find explanation of basic terms. Basic term is work injury and occupational disease and related rights and needs of employe and employer including explanation of the concept of occupational health and safety, risk prevention. The fourth chapter contains a practical example of work injury where we can check current approach of employer to solve it. The fifth chapter deals with the compensation of employees' injuries by provided compensation. Finally we will explain the calculation of refund.
