Abstract

This master‘s thesis deals with modern management methods of overhead cranes in the industrial environment. With the basic description of the electrical components forming the powertrain of industrial overhead cranes and their control using power components and frequency converters. The main objective is to clarify the characteristics in terms of energy savings which replacement of the original cranes management system brings. Furthermore a side by side comparison of management methods will be created. Measurements of inputs will be performed on both types of the cranes. An overall evaluation of the exchange control overhead crane will be based on these readings.
