Abstract

The present diploma thesis deals with the technology of the roots' sewage treatment. The vegetative roots' sewage treatment is monitored in terms of its functionality, construction costs and operation and the impact on the environment and the area. The thesis is divided into 7 main chapters. The theoretical part deals with problems of sewage treatment in general. The introductory chapters are focused on legislation related to the dealt issues, sewage characteristics and current drainage and sewage treatment technology. The practical part solves the project and realization of the roots' treatment for an ecological family house without the possibility of connection to the general sewer system. To find out whether the choice of the roots' treatment for the family house was the right choice, an economic analysis of costs of purchasing and operating the specific sewage treatment technology was performed, moreover, they were watched in terms of their efficiency and functionality.
