Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using renewable energy sources in the operation of the BOSPOR sports hall in Bohumín. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the current energy system of the bulding, evaluate the performance and benefits of the installed photovoltaic power plant, and propose suitable combinations of additional renewable energy technologies that can reduce the building’s energy demand and strengthen its energy self-sufficiency. The thesis focuses primarily on photovoltaic systems, geothermal energy, heat pumps, energy storage technologies including sand batteries, and intelligent energy management. The work also includes an economic assessment of the investments, an evalution of environmental benefits, and the development of variant-based proposal fot the optimal solution. The outcome of the thesisi is a recommendation of a technological configuration suitable for the long-term sustainable operation of municipal sports infrastructure.
