ABSTRACT

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current situation and a proposal for a storage company processes Canis Safety a.s.. With the information gathered about the new technologies will be outlined the importance and urgency of implementation of bar codes in warehouse management and proposed implementation in practice. The theoretical part deals with general logistics, function and importance of storage and issue barcodes. The logistics are most affected by the process of differentiation, according to the current terminology automated identification, which passes all logistical processes. In the practical part introduces the company Canis Safety a.s. , with its organizational structure , equipment storage and existing warehouse processes. Through SWOT analysis emphasize the need for implementation of bar codes. The analysis will highlight the strengths and weaknesses, highlights the opportunities and threats associated with this implementation. The last part will be given the benefits of the introduction of the barcode as a tool for quality warehouse management, reduction of errors on the part of employees and increase the work efficiency of warehouse staff. In conclusion, it will be proposed recommendations for appropriate implementation.
