Abstract

Bachelor Work describes the impact of the economic crisis that erupted in 2008, the two Baltic states, Latvia and Lithuania. These countries before the outbreak of the economic crisis experienced great economic growth. The impact of the crisis it was harder. The work will be divided into two periods, from entry into the European Union and the outbreak of the crisis, ie 2008. Economic development in both periods will be monitored via three macroeconomic indicators, the gross domestic product, inflation and unemployment. The first chapter illustrates the theoretical concepts associated with the economic crisis. The second chapter will focus on the period from entry into the European Union, a period of economic growth. In the last chapter will discuss the impact on the economy.
