Modifikace materiálů na bázi ZIF-8 pro antimikrobiální aplikace

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the preparation and characterization of ZIF-8-based composite materials. ZIF-8 particles were prepared, as well as ZIF-8 particles forming a composite with the clay mineral vermiculite, and ZIF-8 particles modified with an active organic component possessing antimicrobial properties, chlorhexidine diacetate, which was also attached to vermiculite. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Furthermore, particle size analysis (DVC), specific surface area analysis (SSA), and antimicrobial tests were also measured. Antimicrobial acivity was tested against the bacterial strains Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. An inhibitory effect on the growth of the bacterial strains was confirmed for all selected samples.
