Abstract

Annotation The diploma thesis consists of two parts, the first is the theoretical part and the second is the practical part. In the theoretical part, the work tries to acquaint the reader with a comprehensive, logical and structured system about asphalt as a material. From the methods of its acquisition and processing to its use. Furthermore, the work is dedicated to the description of the tests that determine the properties of asphalt for its better characterization and typification. Subsequently, it is bridged to the practical part, the task of which is to select a device that could serve as a replacement for the current penetrometer (this device will be a reference for us), in case of a malfunction or other defect that does not allow measurement. At the beginning of the practical part, individual devices and work with them are introduced, while the measurement uncertainty was determined for the reference penetrometer. The very conclusion of the work is the analysis and evaluation of the measurements, the result of which is the determination of a replacement for the reference device.
