Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with biogas and its practical use in cogeneration. First part of the thesis describes the creation of biogas, including the conditions that must be fulfill for its creation, and environmental influences on its quality. The thesis also presents all the most important sources of biogas, while the attached tables for each individual source reported his recovery. The following chapter explores individual technological procedures for obtaining biogas from biomass, and their advantages and disadvantages. Then I deal with methods of converting biogas into electric power, state the advantages of the individual approaches and their potential application. Finally, I look at the specific technical solution of the selected biogas station and within the practical part I make monthly measurement and analysis of power quality, which this specific biogas station supplied to the power system.
