Abstract
This thesis studies the optimal conditions for removing sulphates from model solutions using activated orange peel. The theoretical part describes the principle of biosorption, the factors that affect the whole process biosorption of the selected biosorbent, which is the orange peel (Citrus cinensis). In the experimental part of the thesis is described methodology adjustments, sample analysis biosorbents and determining optimal conditions, the effect of temperature, pH value, the selected biosorbents weight gain and increase in the concentration of sulphate in the model solution. To activate the binding sites on the cell wall surface of orange peel, the samples were chemically activated with sodium hydroxide solution of 1 mol / l.
