Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with sealing of penetrations through fire separating structures. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part describes the legislative requirements for fire safety of buildings, fire separating structures and penetrations through these structures. The second part of the thesis deals with technical solution of penetration sealing, describes used materials and compares products from three manufacturers. The third part of the thesis describes the activity of the contractor of fire seals. The last part compares the requirements for sealing of penetrations according to the original and new wording of the ČSN 73 0810 standard. In conclusion, the economic impacts of the standard on a concrete example are pointed out.
