dc.description.abstract-enThe paper is devoted to the study of the influence of the martensite/austenite (M/A) constituent on achieved impact toughness in as rolled U-profiles produced from a low carbon Mn-Mo-Nb steel type. The volume fractions of this component were determined after special etching technique. The physical metallurgy parameters of the M/A constituent formation in granular bainite are analysed. The influences of the state of austenitic matrix and of the cooling rate are discussed.en
