Abstract

This thesis deals with providing first aid at work accidents at mine surface workplaces. The introductory part of this thesis introduces effective legislation and its application in practice. Main focus of this work is a definition of the work accident term, including the procedures related to the investigation of its sources and causes, a method of recording and reporting, including the victim compensation and performance of accident analysis and accident indicators. This is followed by a system description of providing the first aid and amenity description of a first aid station at ČSM Mine. Then the simulation of a model work accident follows, giving first aid and arranging a medical intervention. The last section describes the management system of OSH and the list of measures taken to reduce accidents in the ČSM Mine surface workplaces.
