Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of debt relief and primarily joint debt relief of spouses. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the debt relief of spouses in the case of joint debts. This objective is divided into two sub-objectives, namely the characteristics of insolvency proceedings, the debt relief process itself and the description of basic theoretical concepts. The second part of the thesis is based on examples from practice. Analysis of joint debt relief of spouses with different courses of insolvency proceedings that may occur. Such as death or transition to disability pension. The diploma thesis could be used as a suitable source of information for a group of people who deal with this issue or for spouses who find themselves in a situation of debt relief.
