Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the change of the plan of opening and preparation and mining at the feldspar quarry of the company KMK GRANIT, a.s. near the town of Krásno. The change will consist in the additional opening of the quarry from the northwest side and the construction of a new access road to the level of the fifth section, which is currently the deepest point of the quarry. This new corridor will be used for the transport of mined material from individual mining sections and will also improve accessibility to the quarry (two access roads), which is a benefit in terms of safety, transport coordination, improve the possibility of transporting clearings from non-standard positions in the quarry and will also serve for the construction of drainage of the 5th section, where with a life of the quarry of about 100-120 years there will be a significant financial saving due to the savings of electricity. energy consumed for pumping mine water. At the same time, mine water must be pumped from the 5th section, where the discharge height is approx. 30 m, and after overburdening from the northwest, it will be drained by gravity. This proposed change to the POPD will lead to increased work safety, smooth traffic, shortened traffic and simplification of selective extraction of off-balance sheet stocks and clearance, cost savings - electricity consumption. energy for pumping mine water. All this will be reflected in safety, economic and environmental indicators of the extraction of alkaline feldspar granite, as a reserved mineral.
