Abstract

In the submitted Bachelor Thesis, the development of pricing policy of the Czech Republic from 1990 to 31 st October 2009 is introduced. The market development after the price liberalization and the need of the market protection under free market economics are described. Sequentially, pricing regulatory and control authorities are introduced according to their field of activities. In the following part, the overview of valid price directives is put together comprising especially the overview of price regulation mechanisms. In this part, an introduction of a pricing policy of the Czechoslovak Republic from its origins was hade. An extra part was devoted to price controls; mechanisms of carrying out price controls and consequential administrative hearing is described. On a practical example, the application of a pricing control in praxis is demonstrated, specifically the control of prices in exhaust-emission measurement station. The Bachelor Thesis is concluded by stating the contributions of a pricing control and legislative changes proposals for sphere of performing the pricing controls.
