Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to define a basic metainformation system describing the entry, storage and updating of data in organization MAPPA. The introduction is devoted to the description of several standards in the field of metadata standardization and modern technological means usable for the creation of metainformation systems. The thesis further briefly describes the approaches used in organizations of a similar nature. The following is a description of the creation of a metainformation system created from two parts, which are METIS MAPPA (defined in the MS Access database system) and a web application displaying metadata of selected data layers. To manage and simplify the work with the described systems, import and export tools in the form of python toolboxes were created, useful in the ArcGIS program environment, which is currently the most used geographic system in several organizations.
