Abstract

The thesis addresses the financing of science and research to the private non-university sector and public universities. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the history and development of higher education to the present, defines the basic definitions and concepts, describes the legislation, strategic documents that deal with science and research at universities. In the practical part, it describes the current methods of financing of research and development for both public universities and private non-universities school. Conclusion of the practical part is directed to an appropriate recommendation, as it would involve both private and public universities to raise the income of the funds in its budget and in the financing of science and research.
