Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the creation of an interactive StoryMap presenting events in the municipality of Dolní Lhota and its surroundings at the end of World War II. The aim of the thesis is to connect historical visual and textual elements with spatial data and, using geoinformatics tools, to present them in a clear and accessible way for a broad audience. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the collection, analysis and processing of historical data, their spatial localization and subsequent visualization in the ArcGIS StoryMaps environment.
