Abstract

The quality and economics of sinter and hot metal production is widely influenced by the chemical and physical stability of the input materials. The aim of this diploma thesis is to optimize the processes on blending yard, especially the preparation of the sinter raw mix. Direct processing of imported iron ores and concentrates with high variation in chemical properties will have negative influence on sinter plant production parameters like productivity and fuel consumption. Therefore these materials are pre-processed by optimalization of industry homogenization which decrease the variability of material properties and also monitored parameters were the stability of iron content in sinter and consumption of fuel used for sinter production.
