Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with a quantification of the effects of physical explosions. In the first brief part it devotes to theory of explosion, its general description and its main categories. The following part of the thesis informs a reader about pressure vessels, which are connected with physical explosion. The third, quite extensive part of the thesis, deals primarily with description of the Baker’s computational method for determination effects of the pressure wave, which is generated after a rupture of a pressure vessel. The main and the most important part of this thesis is focused on analysis of the new version of software called Physical Explosion 1.1, which has been created by transforming the Baker’s method to C#. This part tries to explain how the software works, analyzes its serviceability and minutely dedicates to its specific parts and user manual. The last chapter is dedicated to the experiment with exploding pressure vessels and to the software usage for real situations.
