Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with audiovisual documentation of fire scenes for the purposes of fire cause investigation. The thesis focuses on the importance and use of audiovisual recordings during fire scene investigation and their role in collecting data for further analysis. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the selection of suitable technical equipment for capturing video and audio recordings, based on multi-criteria analysis and defined evaluation criteria. The thesis also includes a proposal for a tool utilizing artificial intelligence for the automatic transcription of audio recordings into text. The final section evaluates the possibilities and limitations of using audiovisual documentation in the context of forensic and expert practice.
